Artists Space has successfully contributed to changing the institutional and economic landscape

Lumi Tan, the Kitchen's assistant curator and Tim Griffin, the Kitchen's executive director
and chief curator, contemplate a thoughtful presentation on Schizo-Culture.
In 1978 the periodical Semiotext(e) published an issue under the title 'Schizo-Culture.'
The journal’s pages fused the radical writing of key figures of post-1968 French
philosophy with the chaotic creativity of an emerging New York downtown art scene.
