Gemma Bond got her first taste of choreography at the young age of 13 when she competed inthe Royal Ballet's Sir Kenneth MacMillan Choreographic Competition. She later
returned to choreography when she joined American Ballet Theater, in 2008.

I'm back to reflecting on how Harriet's Father, Ian McCaig, spent his time in solitude
at the Royal Henley Retirement Residence in Canada and what made our daily
conversations together so rewarding. Harriet and I inherited his DVD collection
after he passed, so it is inspiring to think about the way that he helped to make
those concluding years of his life so meaningful for all of us. Thank you, Ian.
